The Bunion Care Gel Sleeve contains a large, soft gel pad designed to cradle and protect the bunion from abrasion and pressure while releasing a medical grade mineral oil to moisturise and soften the skin. This gel sleeve also helps prevent the formation of painful hypertrophic and keloid scars after surgery.

Can be Used For:

  • For inflamed or irritated bunion deformity.
  • Product can be rotated to serve as a cushion for a painful sesamoid bone, metatarsal head or even a Tailor's bunion or bunionette after the stitches that seperate the big toe from the lesser toes are removed and wound is healed.
  • Helps reduce edema, scar formation after a dorsal or medical surgical incision on the site of the bone removal.
  • Product helps relieve shoe pressure, friction and shear forces on the bunion and the metatarsal head.
  • May also be worn on the hand to protect the thumb from discomfort during gripping activities. 

Directions for Use

Recommended Care:

We recommend that you hand wash the product with mild soap and water. Air dry product and lightly dust gel pad with talcum powder after drying.

Directions for Use:
  • Wash and dry foot.
  • Slip small elastic opening over the big toe with the larger opening over the other four toes.
  • Pull the sleeve toward the ankle until gel pad is comfortably placed around the bony protrusion of the bunion. Surgical elastic fabric may be loosened or tightened by stretching vertically or horizontally.
  • If necessary the toe stitch between the small and large openings may be cut for added comfort.
  • Remove product at least 3 to 4 hours daily to allow skin to breathe.
Caution:

Do not place product on an open wound. If irritation, discomfort or poor circulation occurs, discontinue use and notify your physician immediately. KEEP OUT OF REACH OF CHILDREN. Small part choking hazard. Contains and releases mineral gel oil. To prevent excess moisturisation, To prevent maceration (excessive softening / breaking down of the skin) do not wear for more than 8 hours in every 24.
