Germolene Antiseptic Cream is a non-greasy cream that rubs into the skin easily. Its antiseptic action helps prevent infection, and its soothing local anaesthetic numbs the pain helping to relieve itching and irritation of minor skin injuries. It uses a dual action of antiseptic which helps prevent infection and also a local anaesthetic which helps to numb the pain.
Germolene Antiseptic Cream is used to ease pain and help prevent infections of minor cuts and grazes, minor burns, scalds, blisters, stings and insect bites, spots and chapped or rough skin.
The cream contains two active
substances, phenol and chlorhexidine digluconate. Phenol and
chlorhexidine digluconate have antiseptic properties for the
disinfection of skin, wounds and burns. Phenol also has a
local anaesthetic action for the relief of pain. The cream base
helps to soften the skin and soothe irritation.
Directions for Use
Thoroughly clean the affected
area of the skin with warm water (do not use soap). For minor
cuts, grazes etc, apply the cream directly or on a dressing. For
minor burns, scalds and blisters, apply the cream generously and
massage in gently. Make sure to replace the cap firmly after
use.
For external use only. Keep out
of reach and sight of children. Consult your doctor is symptoms
persist. Do not store above 25°C.
